Services for Aboriginal students at UBC just got an extra boost. Students looking for one-on-one help with course assignments and essay writing can now look to Brittany Luby, the First Nations Longhouse tutor for 2009/2010.

Brittany, a graduate student in the UBC history department, approached the First Nations House of Learning with an offer to provide tutoring to Aboriginal students at the Longhouse. With a background in the social sciences, Brittany helps students develop their writing styles and skills, and can assist to refine assignment topics.

The Longhouse tutoring program is looking to expand its support with the addition of tutor specializing in math and sciences. If you’re a math or science graduate student interested in tutoring, or a graduate student in any discipline looking for tutoring opportunities, contact the Longhouse at fnhl.inquiries(at)ubc.ca.

If you’d like to contact Brittany, email her at brittany.luby(at)gmail.com.
