Aboriginal Alumni and Mentoring Program

Linc Kesler, Director of the First Nations House of Learning, invites your participation in the development of Aboriginal alumni and mentoring programing at UBC.

The Aboriginal Alumni Association will be a non faculty-specific association that will bring together Aboriginal alumni from UBC. We are currently seeking interested alumni who would like to be involved.

The Aboriginal Mentoring Program will support mentees who are current students at UBC to connect with more senior students, alumni, faculty or community representatives who can offer direction and/or guidance based on their experience. Depending on the student’s faculty, we will redirect inquiries to faculty-based Aboriginal coordinators, or we will assist in arranging a mutual mentor/mentee pairing.

If you are interested in participating in either program, please contact Lesley Campbell at:
fnhlmentoring@exchange.ubc.ca for the mentoring program or fnhlalumni@exchange.ubc.ca for the alumni program.

For further information on these projects please contact Rick Ouellet, Aboriginal Student and Community Development Officer of First Nations House of Learning at fnhl.coordinator@ubc.ca or (604) 822-8941.
